Ex 1

1. Go to the Language Learning Oasis (OEM707)
2. On the software start-up page, click on the "Vocabulary" icon ⇒ "Road to IELTS"
3. Choose a topic, then either work through the Words module, or go straight to the Writing (Task 1 or Task 2) or
    the Speaking module

Ex 2

1. Go to the Language Learning Oasis (OEM707)
2. On the software start-up page, click on the "Issues in English 2" icon
3. Choose a topic and work through both level 3 (Intermediate) and level 4 (Advanced)
4. Listen to the video (and/or read the text) and do the "Pronunciation" or "Speaking" exercises (which contain the
    vocabulary for that topic)
5. Then try to prepare your own speech on that topic, using the new words

Ex 3

1. Go to SALL Resources on the Web
2. Select "Listening" ⇒ Click on "General Topics" ⇒ Learning English: Video Nation
3. Click on a speaker and work through the exercises
4. Make sure you use your new vocabulary in the "Get Talking" exercise at the end

Ex 4

1. Go to SALL Resources on the Web
2. Select "Vocabulary" ⇒ Click on "Vocabulary Lists and Exercises" ⇒ Using English for Academic Purposes
3. Go to "Selection" in the left-hand menu bar, then "Exercises" at the top of the page
4. Click on "Individual Words", then "Word order" to test yourself on using the word in context
5. Then try to make up your own sentence with each word
